Peas paneer

  • 1 small onion (1/2 cup)
  • 1.5 tomatoes chopped (3/4 cup)
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 two garlic paste
  • 3 green chilies
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 250g paneer cubes cubes
  • 1 cup peas

 

  1. Blend onion, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, chillies
  2. Heat oil in pressure cooker ( black)
  3. add bay leaf, clove
  4. add blended paste
  5. fry until brown
  6. add dry spices
  7. fry until oil leaves the side of the masala
  8. Add paneer cubes
  9. saute slightly. Add peas
  10. add water..just a bit more than to cover the paneer
  11. Add salt
  12. Pressure cook for 9 mins after first whistle
  13. Garnish with cilantro
