Khichdi

  • 1/2 cup moong dal
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • pinch aestofida
  • 1.5 tsp crushed ginger
  •  2 tbsp peas
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • 2 green chillies
  • 3.5 cups water

 

  1. Soak rice and dal together in water
  2. Heat ghee in a saucepan or pressure cooker
  3. add cumin seeds and gunger
  4. add turmeric and aestofida
  5. add the rice and dal
  6. Add salt and peas and green chillies
  7. add water
  8. Pressure cook for 10 mins
