1 packet chicken (approx 1.7 lbs)
1 medium sized onion chopped
3/4 cup yoghurt
2 tbsp Mustard oil
1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
1 tsp grated Ginger
1 tsp grated Garlic
1 tsp Turmeric
Salt to taste
4 black cloves, 2 cardamom, 1″ cinnamon, 2 bay leaves
- Heat 2 tbsp mustard
- Add 1/s tsp of fenugreek seeds, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaves
- When they splutter, add 3/4 tsp garlic and 3/4 tsp ginger
- Add the chopped onion
- Fry nicely; when brown add turmeric,
- Add yoghurt
- Fry until oil leaves the sides
- Add the chicken, salt and let it cook for 7-8 minutes
- Add 1.5 cups of water and pressure cook for 5 minutes
