Sujata’s ginger chicken

1 kg chicken (small pieces thighs)

1 tsp red chilli powder

3 tbsp ginger paste

Lime juice (optional)

1 green pepper

Green chilli (optional)

2-3 tbsp yoghurt beaten with water

2 onions: chopped fine

Oil

  1. Fry onion in oil until brown. Add ginger paste
  2. Add chicken until color changes
  3. Add black pepper, red chilli and salt
  4. Add thinned yoghurt and mix well
  5. Cover until the chicken is tender
  6. Optional: Stir fry red pepper, green chilli, 1 small onion quartered separately for 5 mins. Add to the chicken
  7. Add a dash of lime before serving
