- 500g potatoes ( 2 large or 4 medium)
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp amchur
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped corriander
- 2 chopped green chilli
- 2 tablespoon corn or rice flour
- 4 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 3/4 tsp salt
- oil to fry
- Boil the potatoes.
- Cool completely and mash. Do not leave clumps of potatoes
- Add coriander leaves, chillies. ginger, salt, chaat masala, garam masala, amchur and mix nicely
- Add the rice/corn flour and the bread crumbs
- The mixture should be firm and not sticky.
- Divide into 8 balls.
- Flatten each ball to make a tikki
- Heat oil in a frying pan. When very hot, add the tikkis. Fry until brown
