Ingredients
8oz/ 225g Lasagna
2oz/ 55g butter
1 large onion finely chopped
3 garlic cloves crushed
1.5tbsp chopped green pepper
2 oz/ 55g plain flour
1 litre milk
750ml (1.25 pt) canned chopped tomatoes
1 large courgette
1/2 tsp crushed pepper
salt and pepper
350g/ 12oz cheddar cheese grated
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F/190C. Grease 13X9 inch dish
- Put lasagna sheets, one at a time, in hot water and soak for 10-15 mins
- Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add onion, garlic, chopped chilli and cook until softended
- Stir in flour and cook for 3 mins..
- pour the milk anbring to boil stirring. Reduce heat to low and thicken for 5 minutes, stirring constantly
- Stir in the tomatoes, courgettes, dried chilli pepper into the sauce. Add salt and pepper
- Spoon a little of the sauce into the prepared dish, spread it evenly and cover with a layer of lasagna
- Add one third of the remaining sauce and one third of the cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used
- Bake for 45 mins until golden
